Have bought this wine the last two years and it’s one of my favorites. Good flavors. — 8 years ago
Excellent 2016. Could certainly cellar for a few years. Full of dark fruit and moderate tannin. Had it with lamb chop. Good pairing. — 9 years ago

Spanish red brought back from a visit to Ridge’s Montebello Winery. Excellent wine but may be difficult to find unless part of their club. — 3 years ago
Carbonated red wine and just wowza — 6 years ago
Nine different heirloom grapes varietals blended and aged in oak - went perfect with my sausage/ mushroom fire oven pizza and 4:00 PM NFL games. Life is pretty good! — 7 years ago
Light, refreshing fruit forward white. Lots of melon and pineapple aromas and flavors. Easy drinking, good on its own — 8 years ago
Nice wine! — 8 months ago
Nice bottle, wouldn’t pay what Realm is trying to sell it for now that they bought out the vineyard, but under $200.00 is about right.
The T5 is their most premium Cabernet Sauvignon – always 100% varietal it is hand-picked from vines growing in their tiny vineyard. This wine ages in special Taransaud (the cooper) barrels for 2 years. These are rare barrels, this is rare wine indeed as only 100 six-bottle cases are produced annually. The wood is from trees that were planted during the time of Louis XIV (he was the King of France from 1643 until he died in 1715) and only the best French coopers are allowed to work with this wood. The staves are seasoned for a remarkable 5 years before being assembled (up to 3 years is more the norm for oak barrels being used for aging wine).
Don’t get me wrong, this is No Dominus or Ridge Montebello. More of a Schrader or well aged Chappellet. Or the previously Realm Style. I needed to mix it up today.

I’ll be incredibly pleased if I can perform like this at 41. Fully saturated cork and somm said, “I think it’s ok.” Faint funk right out of the gate that blew off quickly. This opened beautifully over 2 hours. American oak led the charge but air added weight and dimension with red berries, eucalyptus, tilled earth, and spice box revealing themselves in the glass. Bottle said “Selection 45%” meaning less than half of this Montebello vintage made it into this bottling. The rest went toward Santa Cruz Mountain Cabernet. 13.1% abv and it showed in how refreshing and approachable this was. Don’t know that I’d store a ton longer, but this was the perfect accompaniment to dinner at Keen’s. — 14 days ago
