A gift from a friend in Juarez. I’m impressed. Mx is stepping up its wine game — 3 years ago

Not as overly complex as I expected but incredibly smooth. The tannins were soft and mellow with hints for some dark berries on the nose along with slight leather and dust. Very hard to get MX wine where I’m at so I usually have to grab a couple bottles ever time I travel to Guadalajara. — 6 years ago

Spectacular Sauvignon Blanc tried in Oaxaca de Juárez, MX. Loved it so much bought 2 bottles when we got home. Dry but complex, wonderful full flavor but not overwhelming. — a year ago
Muted, understated nose of nectarines and pears, with a hint of caramel (which we suspect is age related).
Palate has the signature Bacigalupi presentation. Multi-layered with bright peach and fire-roasted fruits. Medium density and moderate sweetness make this a wonderful white burg clone.

Found this 13 for $75.00, definitely closed down on P&P needs a couple more years at least not to mention a big decant. Probably the tightest one I’ve had.A very early Fathers Day celebration brought out this bottle. In our area this is not an easy wine to get and so I try to limit for special occasions. I’ve had multiple vintages and while the 2013 is good, it might actually be at its peak compared to earlier years. Very balanced tannins, hints of leather, tobacco, dark but muted berries and a medium finish. This drank very smoothly and that might be due to the 45 minutes to hour decanting that opened it up. Like supporting MX wine and this is a good one to try. — 6 years ago
My one and only bottle opened New Years Eve in Punta Mita, Mx. Another 02 in the sweet spot of its drinking window. Pure Dugat Py Gevrey nose, soft tannins and sweet violets on the palate. First time and wish I had more. Absolutely love the 02 Charmes Chambertin but those don’t come cheap.... — 8 years ago
Crowd pleaser.
Finally at a resto in Cabos with a deep wine list. This was what we could afford. Mx is nosebleed central!

Best MX chardonnay — 5 years ago
@delectable this is floral terraNes MX. blend of teroldego, lagrein and Syrah. It’s very delicious. Lots of blueberry. Very ripe blueberry. Some blackberry too. Fine tannins that coat the top of the mouth and tongue. Not super high acid but very ripe fruit flavor. There’s some roasted red pepper. Maybe a bit of celery salinity. Also some roasted brownness on the nose like coffee. Lavender and mint come out after air. I wish I had a bottle of this in five years. I imagine would become even meatier and smokier. Good stuff. One of my favorite wines from Long Island’s Floral Terranes. — 6 years ago

Excellent!!! I have been an advocate for MX wine and this one tastes and felt like a Bordeaux blend. — 10 months ago
