Nice minerality and lasting. — 5 years ago
Smooth as silk, very reserved and charming. Low acidity, low tannins, nonintrusive fruit. Very gentle and unusual fine wine. — 8 years ago
Chablis grand cru meets Etna. Great example, volcanic minerality jumps out of the glass. A touch of smoke, then dense layers of mineral-citrus finishing up with electricity. Great example, tough to justify $150 price from Greece but still remarkable — 9 months ago
Super with fajitas. — 8 years ago
Vamvakada is Maratheftiko its pain in the a-s-s to grow since it's not hermaphrodite, although with the proper care and attention, not much oak and time in the bottle (5-6 years) it's amazing..... With deep ruby color, black fruit, soft tannins (granted you aged it) soft spicy character, with a key attribute her sexy and elegant acidity, herbal, leather, mushrooms and hints of truffles.... It's a full body, well structure vino that has a few more years. — 9 years ago

This is a Greek-French collaboration from the spectacular vineyard of Clos Stegasta on the island Tinos in the Cyclades, Greece. Although several crops have been cultivated on the islands since ancient times, Clos Stegasta is a fairly newly planted vineyard. The wine is pure and fresh with lemons, herbs, stonefruit, jasmin, smoke and salinity. It is softer and a little lighter than its assyrtiko counterparts and neighbours on Santorini. — 7 months ago
