Bodega Highway, in the sunshine
Where the days are longer
The nights are stronger...Than moonshine I call it Radical Coteau. Something more edgy for Eric’s portfolio. Which I love, particularly Savoy and Terra Nuema. This opened like a bomb, close to a smoky Amarone. Brooding and wild. Settled into a wild boysenberry. Some blue, red and black fruit with the slight presence of sandy topsoil with a little brush. Sandalwood. Definitely a lighter, more natural expression while maintaining the RC polish — 4 years ago
Interesting 🤔 makes my lips numb, thought it was the hot sauce yesterday but no hot sauce today & its still has a numbing sensation🤷🏼♂️
K&L notes,
Claimed to be the world's oldest distilled drink - Poitín is the father of Irish whiskey (AKA - moonshine as we'd call it in the USA). First made by Irish monks in the 6th century in monastaries like Glendalough it was known as Uisce beatha or aqua vitae in Latin - the water of life. Today Glendalough's Poitín is triple distilled in a traditional copper pot-still using malted barley and pure spring water. It has a slightly floral nose with pretty and heady fruit tones. The taste is shockingly smooth and mellow given the 55%. Again a surprisingly fruity essence. The finish is long and lingering, a touch warming and sweet with a spicy tail — 4 years ago

In a perfect drinking window, showing everything from mint to tobacco and leather. A silky long finish in this right bank gem. Special thanks to Vine on Hilton Head Island for allowing to bring for corkage fee. Pairs perfectly with their duck flambé with orange moonshine. — 4 years ago
