Garnet color with a brick edge. Big Smokey Nose. Flavors of Blackberry, Cassis, cigar box, black licorice and pencil shavings. Beautifully smooth with a very long finish. Smoke remains right through the entire drinking experience. Thank you Petey Patel. Revisited in July 2023. Wine is still bright and alive and in a very good place. Quite a treat. — 7 years ago

This is officially one of my favorite wines. The first time I bought it it came to me cooked. The second batch I got was amazing it is much like the Mastroberadino aglianico Campania. However it's much more subtle and complex. There's elements of smoke and dark fruit and tobacco. It drinks almost like a really good Maduro cigar smokes. In fact I would go as far to say it is the wine equivalent to the Rocky Patel Edge Maduro. It goes down easy despite having a fairly full body. I don't know if it's worth the price of the $50 range however I would very easily shell out $35 to $40 for this item. — 10 years ago

Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary Maduro. Robusto size. Wrapper is milk chocolate in color, a few veins running through the leaves. Box-pressed for an outstanding tight pack. Smell is leather, black pepper and chocolate. Nice draw, lots of thick smoke produced. Flavor is elephant hide, dry hay, dark chocolate, and espresso beans. Full flavored. Really nice complexity and overall a highly enjoyable smoke. — 10 years ago
