Bodegas Pujanza Norte Rioja 2010. This was my favorite of this horizontal, blind tasting of to 2010 vintage wines from our portfolio. It is so harmonious, elegant and well integrated. — 9 years ago
Transcendent - loved this wine & winery for years, believe this is my last bottle & perhaps caught it at its zenith: deep dark ruby, still inky & opaque - soaring aromas of cherry liqueur, red berry fruit, licorice, dried herbs, tomato plant, tobacco, leather and some Earthy secondary notes. Still w/decent heft from a wine that for me has always had impressive extraction, power & vigor. Juicy acidity & elegant structure, plenty of ripe fruit - on the palate it shows like finely aged Sangiovese. Wonderful accompaniment to Christmas evening ham. — 3 years ago

Fig, ethyl nose. Firm tannins offer good structure to stand up to steak. Bitter greens on the back end. — 4 years ago

This has high ratings and is very expensive, but failed to live up to the hype. The 2017 Valserrano Gran Reserva Blanco was far superior tonight. — 4 months ago
