Earthy aroma, plum flavor, medium body. Nice on its own or with a meat and rice dish. — 5 months ago
Nose of oak, cedar, cigar box and dark fruit with barnyard funk. Tobacco, tart cherry, cranberry, blackberry and leather on the palate. The middle holds up beautifully, and the finish is long with ample acid and chewy tannins. Well balanced, broad and powerful, this 2001 Gran Reserva is hitting its stride. At $35 a bottle, this is an incredible wine. — 8 years ago
100% Tempranillo, deep Ruby color with aromas of fruit, spices and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with vanilla, cacao and espresso notes. Firm approachable tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, spice and herb mineral character. Drink over next 5-6 years! — 5 months ago

Vigneron: Envinate (Cuvee Viticole)

Grape: Listán Blanco; Vintage: 2017

Color: Deep gold to amber around the rim. Why is the color gold for a young wine? *** I don’t know, maybe skin contact, or oxidative wine making style? @brianmcclinticms @envinatewine

Nose: Not floral, not citrus, spices (cinnamon, fennel seeds)

Taste: Good structure, soft acidity throughout, sweet spice taste, interesting that it’s packing quite a bit of tannins for a white wine from mid-palate through long finish. — 6 years ago
Great! New Kurt wine. More expensive but really solid. Would get again. — 5 months ago
Starts off with black cherries, followed by licorice, smoke, and pepper. Thicker tannins bring out the finish with a mild acidity. — 10 months ago
