The oak really stands out in this one. On one hand I think 'Too much what are you trying to hide or make up for?' and on the other hand I think 'This was daring but it worked!'.
Let me put it another way: It's too much oak for me to enjoy the bottle but it's a wood punch that makes me enjoy the glass over many other Pinot's I've had recently.

[note for Fiano Bowland Vineyard, 2020 (sorry couldn’t find the correct entry] 25 cases made, 10 months fermentation in neutral barrel (228L). Full malo. Golden hue with green tints slightly hazy. Beautifully round texture. Meyer lemon, sweet pear drop, lemon Meringue pie, stone fruits - peach white apricot, hints of fresh pineapple (and pineapple candy) elevated acidity, long finish. — 2 years ago

Stainless steel fermented and aged for four months in neutral oak. Citrus lime more almond skins slightly oxidative (much more so than Ryme Hers). Savory and green herbs on the palate. Elevated acidity, medium finishes on the minerality. Sandstone soils. — 2 years ago
