Exceptional on opening. Nose of dark berries and spice. Palate with complex of spiciness, juiciness, black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, & plum. Balanced low intensity tannins with lingering finish. — a year ago
Another delightful year of their Meritage style blend. This year it’s made of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Lovely nose with complex fruit and spice flavors, mouth watering acidity, and smoothness throughout with just enough tannins for a pop and a pleasant lingering finish. — 4 years ago
Herbaceous. Great with Thanksgiving dinner. — 2 months ago
Lemon-grapefruit aroma and flavor with a smooth finish, nice introduction to a sparkling rosé from a part of CA not as famous for wine — 9 months ago
14.8% abv. Tasty. Dark thick fruits taste. Intense but pleasant. — 2 years ago
Deep, wooden cherry notes flourish both before and after the first taste. The flavor is sophisticated, yet simple. Nothing of note to end, but nothing negative to say about the beginning and middle. A very solid experience. — 4 years ago
Plum jam with a nice dry finish. — 2 months ago
Los Pilares San Diego County Red Blend 2013: Fresh. Natural. Extraordinary. Consisting of 50% Grenache & 50% Carignan, this was a light-bodied, extremely unique wine. Red fruits (cranberry & cherry). Plum. Earth. Short finish. For me, the wine was a bit thin on structure but very clean & natural tasting. This was my first San Diego County wine and it left me quite intrigued & impressed. Hoping to explore other San Diego wines in the near future. Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago
