Iván-Völgyi Bikavér 2017

Deep ruby red. Upon opening nose has dark berries, cherry and blueberry jam. When wine opens up the nose picks up more deeper tones. On palate this is midweight, with nicely balanced acidity, full of sour cherry, granberries, blueberries, black currants, powdery if firm tannins giving shape towards the end. Wine leaves granberry, cherry and some peppery tones on medium+ aftertaste. This is medium bodied well made and food friendly wine that clearly benefits from few more years in the bottle to develop complexity. Good stuff — 5 years ago

Mozaik 2019

Deep ruby in color; cherries, blackberries, and graphite on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like black plums, cassis, and wet slate with a long finish. — 2 years ago

Totally pleasant with a light chill on it. Pairs well with watching the kid ride her scooter around the driveway. — 6 years ago

Deliciously peppery & gluggable Szekszárd. What Hungary should do more often: light, clean & great QPR. — 10 years ago

Indigo Szekszárd Zweigelt 2020

Fresh red berries, notes of leather and summer woods, hints of pie spices and herb spice like woody rosemary and mint. Smooth and bright red berries like cranberries and strawberries, herb spices and a touch of peppery pungent spice on the finish. Well balanced, refreshing, and approachable sipper at an easy-going 12.5% abv. Wonderful value. — 2 years ago
