Brewed by Shepheard Neame, Britain's oldest brewery, especially for Aldi, this porter is a good offering of the old style that once made up many a pint in pubs before the 1960s. A good dark colour with hints of coffee and chocolate and malt. Light carbonation with a tan head that dissipates slowly.

Definitely a Christmas Day wine. Blackberry, currants, mulled spices that cling to the back of the tongue. Pair with pets for a German Shepherd around the ears to achieve this face 🥴. — 3 years ago
