Brachs Carmel Taffy hint if raspberry and orange. — 7 years ago
1982 Piero Talenti Brunello di Montalcino. Vibrant garnet color, with barely any bricking. Complex nose of dried red fruit, leather and spice. Soft on the palate, with a great presence through the finish. This bottle is in perfect condition and showed beautifully. — 5 years ago
Delicious. More earthy than the '08 Talenti. — 10 years ago
Always nice to have a reminder of what a slightly older Brunello can be. Great pairing with pork chops with a lot of fennel. Might have guessed nebbiolo from the color, but the deep fruit and light dusty tannins really demonstrate what this is. — 5 years ago
This was hearty and dark with enough grit and concentration to spare — 8 years ago

Last had 5 years ago and said it needed some time - and that was right! Really very nice now with pork chops from Kinderhook Farms with porchetta seasoning. Opened several hours in advance and decanted for an hour. Lots of red fruit on the nose. 15%, but wouldn’t guess it. Dark berry and brandied cherries and a bit of earth. Really seamless and delicious. — a month ago
