50% Pinot Noir 30% Chardonnay 19% Pinot Meunière and interestingly 1 % Pinot Gris. Extremely fine mousse. On the nose and palate Citrus and Granny Smith apple - very refreshing. Chalky soils. Many tasters would pick this as French in a blind tasting. The trouble is by the time this gets to Australia the price is similar to an average NV Champagne so to the average buyer the Champagne is the safe bet but make no mistake these are first class Sparklers. — 3 years ago
Light, approachable whisky for people who are just getting into whisky. — 5 years ago
Nicely rounded with smaller cask. Maybe sherry or orloroso. Big peat per usual. — 6 years ago
Had been wanting to try this Cuvée which largely helped put English Sparkling on the map. Good bead with aromas of Apple and light biscuity aromas with good persistence on the palate. Would easily hold its own in French company. One of the 1001 wines. Have not seen it available in Australia as yet but I might have missed it. — 7 years ago

Apparently one of the oldest Distillery sites in Scotland. Located by the sea on the Isle of Islay this receives the slowest distillation of any Islay malt, then spends 16 years in old oak casks before being bottled. This is very pungent, peaty and smoky. One of my favourite single malts. — 2 months ago

Very smooth and easy to drink. Had some hard candy notes on the nose and taste. — 2 years ago

Hibiki Highball from the master at the Apollo. Been two years since I’ve been here but it felt like yesterday. Literally nothing has changed. Must stop if you are in Tokyo. Feel free to go to the bar Milo next door and have a drink of the “Mr Norm” bottle that I had to buy in order to get a drink. Keep in mind all of these places max out at 8 people. I kinda stressed them out coming in with eight but played the “remember me” card and picture from my iPhone ;) — 10 months ago
A little spicey, not as smooth because of the cognac barrels. Slight fruit, a little bitter on aftertaste. No peat. $85 at target (a bit pricey) might get it if it were in the $50s. — 4 years ago
Golden amber color. Briny, diluted iodine, smoky, red fruit, floral and herbal notes on the nose. Warm mouthfeel. Hints of sherry and stewed fruits on the palate. — 6 years ago
Fantastic! Super smooth and great flavor. — 7 years ago
