Pushed through approx 1/8 of a glass and just couldn’t any more any longer. Lacking any respectable semblance of balance. Purple red, very good clarity, moderately extracted pigment. Spearmint, thyme and raspberry notes in nose. Raspberry, cola flavors, tangerine peel finish. Nice acidity, medium body, slight seed bitterness in aftertaste. Needs a little time to integrate after opening. Moderate skin astringency emerges after 30 minutes. 24 hours later, boom, cherry and plum flavors with depth. Super wine if you can decant it long enough, impressive varietal character — 5 years ago
