Brought over the house by JP and his brother. Tempranillo from three different regions Lodi, Clarksburg, and Amador. Loved the wine and it reminded me of classic Lodi region wines. Not surprising because all 3 areas are one of my favorite. Would definitely like to try again — 8 years ago

This wine plays the outlaw image to the hilt. Lodi Cab faces off in a dusty street against Napa Cab, the fastest gun in town. They both shoot straight, but in different directions. Three Finger Jack has a nose of rustic black fruit, tar, forest floor, with only a hint of graphite. The palate leans in a more elegant direction, but still stands its ground as an “outsider.” It's a delightful drink, with plenty of pairing power and the tannic structure to prove it. — 5 years ago
Thanks to @Delectable Wine for a quick turnaround on ID-ing this relatively obscure cuvée. Caprai does amazing things that go way beyond his flagship Sagrantinos. Here is a 100% Umbrian Pinot Noir, made only in certain vintages. The varietal expression here is unique (a good wine to stump blind tasters) - richer and more powerful than you’d expect, with bluer fruits and higher tannins too...almost like a Bdx. — 7 years ago

Definitely at peak. The smell of ripe grapes pops out of the bottle upon opening. It’s a rich, opulent wine. There is little acid on this one. Super soft and coating on the palate with that grape sweetness continuing. — 7 months ago
