A slightly challenging bottle but I liked it! Salty bitter plum. Matassa has such complex dynamic bottles. — 9 months ago

Odd as it sounds: starts like a jam with sweet root vegetable in the mouth followed by a minty finish. I am so confused, but TOMMY WANT WINGIE. — 8 years ago

First of a Tommy George double dip from the weekend. Pre-meal classic Pinot with big berries on the nose. Nice complex finish that didn’t disappoint. — 8 years ago
Tommy Hughes who is the Finca Decero Winemaker arranged a four course lunch with eight of his wines. It was an amazing afternoon.
On the nose, ripe; dark cherries, cherries, blue fruit, blackberries, black & plum, dust, vanilla, beautiful, fresh red flowers and violets.
On the palate; the body is full & bold. The tannins are firm and sticky. The fruits are ripe, blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, cherries, strawberries as it opens, there is definitely dust and more of a presence than Rutherford, vanilla, touch of caramel, chocolate, dry crushed rock powder, very soft leather, just a hint of fresh tobacco and dark red florals for days. Acidity like a waterfall and a gorgeous, elegant, sexy, ripe, well balanced finish that lasts minutes.
Photos of, the restaurant terrace view from Finca Decero. The first course, Citrus infused Quinoa, Sun Dried Tomatoes, with melon Sorbet. It was delicious! My wine partner for over 15+ great years and a shot of all the wines for sale in their shop. — 8 years ago
How do I say it with grace, poise, and within the bounds of decorum… The Dundee Hills of Oregon are calling to me. In speaking with my work-make Tommy, who has lived in Oregon and has proven to be a more than reliable source of insight concerning every & anything from Oregon: the Dundee Hills have me. Hell I think he’s warned me more than once about their playful nature yet their powerful foundations… add the 2023 Artberry Maresh ‘Dundee Hills” Pinot Noir out of the Willametter Valley to it all. From the start, the ruby color is mesmerising. The nose seems to wake up with every instance of dropping my own within it. The palate is mildly chewy and lush. As it warms in the glass and starts to tell of its true nature, deep notes of hibiscus and bramble-berry that only expand ring true. — 5 months ago

Christmas gift from mom and dad to Tommy and Ken. So fun! Loved 2010. 2013 was good too. Earthy. — 7 years ago
Alright. LAN Edition Limitada Rioja. This means limited edition. Surprise.
LAN pumps out mass rioja, and recently has gotten a bad name for it. Well deserved as their Gran Reserva previously had been pretty good, and now tastes like water from old tires. This though, still delivers. The oak may be too pronounced, but the body is full. This is like Pam Anderson; pre boob removal, but post Tommy. — 8 years ago
