Tsolikauri

Andrias Gvino

unfiltered amber Tsolikauri

Wow. So different. Lots of brett in this one. As a celiac, I’ve can’t drink the Belgium beers anymore, but this wine has surely scratched that itch. This is a sort of sour, definitely tart wine. Really enjoyed this one. Would love to have again. — 3 days ago

Baia's Wine

Dry Amber Tsitska Tsolikauri

Blend of indigenous varieties Tsitska (30%) and Tsolikouri (70%) from vineyards in the Imereti region in Western Georgia. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in qvevri. 2 weeks skin maceration. Elegant nose, some flinty notes. Great texture. One of the best Georgian wines I’ve had @rawwine — 6 months ago

Tsolikouri 2020

First time in the US market
Light amber hue

Smooth tannins.
Surprising how nasty this smelled-mushroom/wet dog, barnyard, you name I smelled all the funk. With hints of citrus

Taste was explosive with citrus, made me want more and more my mouth wouldn't stop watering.
Excited to see their next wines.

can't say i really understand orange wine, yet.

super quaffable. it just disappeared.

dried apple, reserved 🍋 and some baking spices...i think 🤔
has that orange wine 'vibe' which i can not categorise onto a specific taste... yet

very tannic.
yet somehow gentle, it's age i guess.

medium body.
medium+ acidity.

medium 🎯

paired lovely with yellow rice and green beans, crushed sweet potato and potato and a great lettuce, sesame seeds and pomegranate salad.
