#costco - nice find guys: priced out of Amarone so took a flyer on this and it exceeded expectations: super sexy nose of beautifully ripe cherries and raspberries, licorice, violets, roasted orange rind, warm exotic spices, mocha, just an elegantly layered nose and palate. not the uber ripe dried fruit of traditional Amarone, but infinitely drinkable. Obviously, not Amorone, not listed 🙄 in the database!
This is exactly what I was looking for in a wine this evening! A lighter red, crunchy, cherries, flowers, lightly spiced, minerals, med+ acidity, medium bodied, med tannins, nice long finish. Very quaffable! Coming in at 13% alc. 😄. Maybe it is an age "thing," but I am shying away from 14% wines — 2 years ago
