Profile naturel, notes de maquis. Un peu d’âge (2019) donc on commence à avoir des arômes d’intérieur cuiré et boisé. Mais on a aussi de l’épice et du poivré, presque du goudronné. Super accompagnement de mets d’intensité moyenne, viande grasse, légume confits — 3 years ago
Tastes like summer bbq in the maquis. — 9 years ago
Gran Reserva Cab Franc. Very nice structure, tannic backbone, and dusty fruit balance. Enjoyable and age worthy. — 10 years ago
An extraordinary example of Chilean Cabernet Franc. Many years to go but soft and supple now. It's a treat — 10 years ago
Really liked this surprise from Corsica - an elegant red blend from vineyard where once upon was growing "Maquis" - family, traditional and organic wine making bringing an interesting wine with finesse - a asaluta 😉 — 12 years ago
Tons of leather and tobacco on the nose. Very viscus. BlackBerry and cherry on the tongue. Great wine. — 2 years ago
Nice COSTCO surprise. I will get more of this one. Great value. — 4 years ago

Kicking the bday off with this beauty. The Imperial is exceptional tonight, power and elegance don't get more intertwined, balanced and pure. With air the body emerges and grows in depth. The fruit intensity also ratchets up a lot, telling me this has the stuffing to age another 10+ easy and reward that patience handsomely. Dashes of wild Corsicana scrub (maquis), ripe and polished tannin and pitch perfect acidity. In time I can see this going to 99-100 easy.

A nice little Sciaccarellu for my Friday night tuna steak aux Indian spices et garden salad. Certainly on the riper side, but with a little chill it goes down quite effortlessly. Rather delicious in fact: an array of maquis herbs, exuberant fruit...an excellent match to a not-so-evident dish. — 11 years ago

It’s still Rosé season in South America! — 3 years ago

Rustic and developed. Stewed plums, medicinal black cherry, maquis herbs, muddy soil, wet stoneware pottery, tobacco and tomato leaf. Palate is intense, concentrated, and shows younger than the nose. 14% alcohol isn’t hiding, but is nearly balanced by silty tannin and juicy acidity. Rounder and darker than the Italian Sangiovese which may or may not be genetically related. Interesting wine, well paired with a casual bolognese style pasta. — 7 years ago
Pale as a moonbeam and just as romantic & delicious, this gem from Corsica is a Rosé superstar. Please put it on your bucket list, and save some for Autumn and the first pumpkin risotto you taste that you dapple with Corsica's herb-crusted Fleur du Maquis sheep cheese, and thank me then! — 11 years ago
Made with 7 local grapes of Corsica. Taste of fruit and the maquis. So good I don't even know what to say. — 12 years ago
