Deeper and darker than the other wines on the table, but no hint of overextraction. Slightly smoky/earthy dark fruit flesh out an elegant frame. Plenty of structure to resolve but not austere or forbidding. Good length with savory fruit and earth on the finish. This shows how good ‘08 can be.
Classic CC from start to finish. Flinty, struck match and limestone driven minerality. Lush ripe white stone fruit keep well in check by ample acidity that keeps the whole fresh, harmonious, and balanced. Long, compelling finish. Fantastic, satisfying wine from start to end. Pure Grand Cru goodness. PYCM is the bomb.
