Retail $48. Paid $15 for it, which is exactly what it should cost. Totally fine for Tuesday night with a bowl of white beans with escarole. Completely transparent light extract, a bit of candied fruit and earthiness. — a month ago
Southern france. Clean natty. Bit of brett. Plenty of bright fruit. Enough going on. Excellent burger wine. — 7 days ago
High novelty factor. Tannins and acid still hanging around which leads me to believe it was fairly big and unruly in its youth. Smooth and earthy, evolved fruit. Maybe a bit pruney but I find this typical of Greek reds. Paired wonderfully with spicy pasta bolognese. — 18 days ago
Creamy green apple jolly rancher acid. I wanna dip my balls in it. — a month ago
Second time scoring this wine. Good purity of fruit and freshness. No reduction, just wide open delicate fruit. Quite light. Reserved and wonky at first. My last glass on day two was the best. — a month ago
My yearly Witching Stick Perli buy up on the coast. The last few years the wines have all been labeled non-vintage. This time they had 2018’s on the shelf. I’m detecting a little kiss of VA in this but not a deal breaker. On the riper side. Inferior to the NV wines for my taste. — 14 days ago
Always delivers especially for the price. ‘23 feels a tad riper / sweeter fruit than years past. Smackin with deviled eggs. — 23 days ago
Cliff notes: Baudry rocks, kiss my ass.
Full review: 2021 was a notoriously difficult year in the Loire and this reflects that. This is delicious as a chilled red, charcuterie, wine, etc. It’s super light and peppy and delicious. Drinks like water with some cab franc in it. Light powdery tannins. But don’t come here looking for concentration. — a month ago
Turd Ferguson
Eight years in my cellar. Big boy wine. Needs 90 minutes in the decanter. Inky. World class wine. 15.5% but no problem, wears it well. Complexity off the charts. Every sip was different. Coffee, smoke, blueberry, Peppercorns, gorgeous acid. Fine tannins. Youthful at 12 years. — 4 days ago
