Alas, the first and only unpeated Islay I’ve had, but remarkable at that. Bananas Foster and salted butterscotch, intense roasted vanilla and rich nutty wood in a big, round deep and smooth as silk frame all of which lingered for minutes after each sip.
@LM Segal has been pushing this, knowing my weaknesses. Big fruity fruity blackberries and tobacco on the nose...rich, silky tannins and a deceptively long finish. A rare wine that can satisfy both the palates of connaisseurs and a crowd — 6 years ago
