Not totally sure how I feel about this wine. On the one hand it's lovely and pure and clean, with decisive, cleansing minerality that gives focus and drive to its bright, fresh flavors of tangerine, sesame, and sea salt. On the other it's just a little lacking--in structure, in acidity, and in intensity as well. I like it a lot, don't get me wrong. We tasted this wine from tank though and were totally blown away by its symmetry and completeness. Perhaps the filters simply claimed their share. — 6 years ago
What better day to open this one up then on Mother’s Day. This has been in the back of my fridge since last August (I swear, I do clean my fridge 🙄) and I think the wait to open was a million times worth it! Orange, cranberry and the weight and roundness that wasn’t there a year ago. Always a winner but I’m glad I actually held onto a bottle for a bit. — 6 years ago
Very smooth with low acidity. Really enjoyed this one. — 6 years ago
Beautiful wine with amazing complexity and depth. Can't wait to see how my other bottle turns out. — 7 years ago
Very unique selection. When it began to warm up I smelled it again in the glass and immediately thought of a dish I had not too long ago that had coriander & pickled kohlrabi in it; this smelled just like that dish, plus additional notes of lemon zest, bruised pear, pineapple, and a minerality that spoke of crushed river stones sprinkled with mint & rhubarb. Complex and wholly unique. — 6 years ago
The 2016 'Les Romains' is simply gorgeous, as it begins with striking aromatics of wildflowers, honey, lychee and cantaloupe that immediately draw you in. The texture and minerality is simply stunning, as flavors of with tree fruit and citrus oil leave a mark. The oily, unctuous character this possesses is found in very few Sauvignon Blancs. An absolutely brilliant wine from one of the leading producers in the region. Drink 2019-2033- 95 — 6 years ago

An amazing wine list at Gotham Bar and Grill. And then this gem found with the sommelier’s help. Wow! Still has fruit on the first taste. Raisin and wet forest floor. 43 year old Napa wines, that are structured properly from the beginning continue to keep California on the world stage. Amazing finale to a great wine wine evening. The nose does not do the taste justice. — 6 years ago
