@Dawn E. I meant to mention this last night. See if you can find some Ferren Rose. For Napa/Sonoma Rosé, a little better than the Paper Planes.

Foreau - Domaine du Clos Naudin

Vouvray Sec Chenin Blanc 2015

Muted aromatics of orange. Palate of apple and pear with a herbal overtone. Taught minerals and bright acid support it’s medium weight. Very dry, almost austere. Nevertheless a very distinctive wine just chocked full of style. Excellent with roasted chicken breast with truffle and confit chicken leg from Covid-19 take out from @Copine. — 5 years ago

Château Talbot

Saint-Julien Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2009

This Talbot is in the zone, full-on pencil lead and camphor leads a fleshy, sexy but high-class experience. Merlot-driven black-red fruit shines through, tannins resolved and big, round with a smoky tobacco on the back end. Nice. — 5 years ago

Franco Fiorina

Barolo Nebbiolo 1967

Great virtual tasting tonight with my great friends. This wine was just gorgeous with a nose of truffles, potpourri, pine needles, and dried roses. On the palate, dried fruit and roses followed later by sweeter fruits and hints of balsamic. Really lovely. I just wish we could have tasted this together in person! — 5 years ago

Opus One

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2007

Bottle 2,000 on delectable.
Had to go with my favorite opus. Parkers original score of 95 is a moot point now. I wish I had kept more of these instead of flipping on auction a few years ago.

Aubert

Hudson Vineyard Carneros Chardonnay 2014

This will not be confused with Burgundy, but a beautiful Cali Chard and nice pair with Shelter in Place Shabu Shabu ala Misuk. A crowd (of two) pleaser. — 5 years ago

@Bill Bender Great band Bill. Michael Hutchence was one of the great frontmen of all time. Up there with Freddie Mercury and Mick Jagger IMO.
