Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards

Éloge Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2011

Another bottle of this after 1st taste 5 years ago. Color of deep ruby, purple, and a bit burgundy, clear. Nose of concentrated aldehyde, dried strawberry, plum, oak, and menthol. Simply beautiful. Taste is amazing, sophisticated sweetness, oak, spice from alcohol, tobacco leaves, sugar plum, dried strawberry, zest note, a touch of mineral, and refined solid tannins. Silky and tasty. Aftertaste is long with silky finish, rind zest, oak, and some more sweetness. A treat. — 5 years ago

Graacher Domprobst Spätlese Riesling #11 2004

The nose of perfect aged mosel Riesling. Someone fruits. Orange. Deep. Insane.

Palate is deep. Aged. Orange skin. Mineral. Fresh. God. Amazing.

Arnot-Roberts

Watson Ranch Chardonnay 2017

Striking! This wine smells like Spring. Nose is candied lemon, ripe tropical fruits, sweet apples, white flowers, wet stones. I expected this to be very tart, like Chablis, but was happily surprised to get a rounder presentation with a kiss of oak. This is drinking very well at this stage. — 5 years ago

Colgin Cellars

Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

11’Colgin Cellars Tychson Hill Vineyard. Located just north of Saint Helena. Not that far from Grace family Vineyards.

Tightly wound straight out of the bottle. Decanted for 90 minutes. Certainly has made a world of difference.
Still full-bodied & depth, bursting with dark fruit, licorice flavor’s, back by nice floral notes, polished tannins. Slightly backwards!?! Last time I had this was five years ago & it wasn’t open for business. Now it’s screaming drink me.

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1982

Tasted blind. Reddish tawny, opaque and regal in the glass. Notes of currants, black cherry, pencil lead, chopped walnuts and some dark soil. My deductive powers take me immediately to 82 Bordeaux. But which one? I guess 82 Latour. This is maybe the best Ducru I’ve had. — 5 years ago
