Silver Oak

Château Léoville Barton

Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1995

Dusty, earthy nose of tea leaf, humidor, caramel-latte, leather and damp soil. The structured palate echoes the nose but also reveals cedar, graphite, beef blood and dark forest fruit. Tannines are wonderfully rounded and ripe. Medium to full-bodied, this is a gorgeous 95-leftbanker. 🤙🏻 — 5 years ago

Château Cos d'Estournel

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

the candy theme continues ~ this time dark razzles ~ and the fruit POPs! Now I appreciate what is in the glass, and not sure I’d fault it for anything, but not sure I can award it 💯 like three other sources ~ or even 99 for that matter ~ BUT I am sure willing to taste it dozens of more times over the years to see how it evolves 😉 KUDOS Cos! 🍷🤘 — 5 years ago

@Daron Watson Nice! I go for the 70's vintages right now, had a '71 about two years ago, I can still taste it in my mind, the pencil lead note is very distinct.

My favorite is the ‘82. I’ve had it twice and it is ethereal. Cos has always been my favorite Bordeaux. Usually best at 20+ years in a good vintage

Domaine Coche-Dury (J.F. Coche Dury)

Meursault Chardonnay 2010

Fresh limpid lemon, white flowers and stone fruit. A whiff of matchstick. On the palate bright, rounded with lovely depth and a vibrant streak of acidity. Really electric, vivacious and exciting. Great. — 5 years ago

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey

Bourgogne Chardonnay 2017

Love this wine. Had a glass on night one and after it sat for 30-40 it really opened up. Needs that time. The bottle showed even better on the second night. Close your eyes and it’s Meursault. Would be great to age. — 5 years ago

RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

So good. Lovely black cherry fruit. Fans out beautifully across the palate. Drinking well now, but lots of structure and energy to continue to develop for many years. — 5 years ago
