First wine since having #19 emergency extracted this week.
Miss that tooth immensely.
This wine is such an incredible Carmenere.
Dusted cocoa fills the nose, following into rich layers of South American terroir. Slight salinity, ripe, delicious fruit, chocolate covered wild berries. The acidity is well integrated into the cigar box. — 7 years ago
In honor of San Diego legend Tony Gwynn. We have not been blessed with many winning teams in this town and absolutely zero championships (I don't count the '63 AFL title) but #19 was truly something special. I'm not sure how he was/is viewed in other parts of the nation but to me he was the greatest pure hitter of his era. George Brett, Boggs, Mattingly, Puckett and Molitor all come to mind as non power guys that got way more pub than him but absolutely nobody was more reliably consistent from the mid 80's to mid 90's than T. Cheers 🍻 to him up in that big 5.5 hole in the sky. — 7 years ago
WS writes “Expressive and smooth, this hits all the right notes, with pure black cherry, black currant and violet flavors. Touches of earth, iron and tobacco add complexity. Shows fine harmony and length.” Rated #19 of the top WS 2018,s. I agree with everything that they say only add @ $19.00 USD buy every bottle that you. Stay safe and healthy Cheers 🍷🇮🇪 — 5 years ago
A good Chianti. Deep cherry flavors shine through. #19 on Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2019. — 4 years ago
This is a serious moscatel. High sugar, meaning even for a dessert wine; mango, citrus notes, melon. Syrupy. Really satisfying, especially for $25. Benefits from being accompanied by some kind of dessert, or biscuits. Pandemic bottle #19. — 5 years ago
A very good Rioja. #19 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2017. Light, balanced red. — 7 years ago

Cellar raid #19 - stunning, vibrant Faro with crunchy bright red fruit and strong hints of blood orange peel, what a beaut. — 3 years ago
