Drink this one too cold and it will fall flat. Let it warm up in the glass closer to 60° to 65°F and it comes alive. Interestingly not a very expressive nose at all, some muted lemon, orchard fruit notes. Similar notes as from a few weeks ago - this time an hour after uncorking this #sangiovese presents Morello cherry, sous bois, but the Provençal spice notes are more muted this time. Such a crushable #priorat - bramble fruit, warming spiced plum compote, wet stone nose. 45% #carignan; 45% #grenache; 10% #merlot with 9 months in French Oak. Delicious balanced palate with a beam of dark fruit, bright frame and rounded tannins on the finish.
