Nose is: Black Fig gelèe, dark chocolate with dried cherry, sweet tobacco, cedar bite, coffee grounds, peppercorn, baked blackberry, and charcoal-mint.
Palatally perfect in its balance of fruit, floral and mouthfeel. Black currant led, with cassis, graphite, espresso, tarragon, cedar, soft smoke and burnt black cherry. Elegant but this one showing a distinct striation in muscle.

Black cherry rim to rim. Rayon and linseed, baker’s chocolate, eucalyptus, graphite, peppercorn, applewood, dried mint, plum and black currant simplify the aromatics. Surprising fruit with juicy black currant, bits of blackberry, and black cherry meat. Graphite speckled, but fruit led. Pepper, cinnamon, clove and rosemary, black olive, cranberry, and tart red currant.

32 years and going strong. Chanterelle and porcini with earth notes and crushed cherries and baked plum. Palate of dried blackberries and alluvial strolls, black currant and smoke. Cedar-cinnamon-tobacco triumvirate. Gloriously strong and hearty.
