Château Latour

Premier Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1959

OMG--this old
#Latour is so massive that you could eat it with a fork!
One of the greatest vintages of the 20th century, and, even now, this wine has years of life ahead of it!
And to think that I used to work in a wine shop that had cases piled up ten high priced at $50 per bottle!

Louis Latour

Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay 2012

9.5

Light golden color, nose with cream and baking spices, fresh apple pie. Palate has gold apple, green melon, vanilla, little bit of oak spice. Little bit rich (partial malo) but not overwhelming. Medium acids. round finish. has potential many more years of maturation. #latour #grandcru #cortoncharlemagne — 9 years ago

Château Latour à Pomerol

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 1961

Beyond epic...a legend among post-war #Bordeaux that achieved cult status in the mid 1980s thanks to that lawyer from Baltimore...a wine I cut my teeth on in the early 1970s and, to this day, it remains one of the greatest red wines I have ever tasted--AMEN!

Domaine d'Eugénie

Clos Vougeot Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2006

Showing its breed well, haunting fruit and depth in the nose, pure and elegant on the palate but at the same time shows broad tannins, needs time-this is still a baby. Bright cherry, mushroom, red berry, loam flavors. A masculine pinot indeed! #eugenie #burgundy #latour #pinot — 12 years ago
