After couple of hours decanted, this gorgeous bottle of #Saxum Bone Rock's aroma wafted around the counter: Blackberry, cassis, smoke, dark berries, licorice and a sweetness that only powerful #Syrahs offer. So complex. Love what comes out of the James Berry Vineyard. #SaxumVineyards — 10 years ago

Wow. Just delicious. Who has the will to age these beauties. #saxumvineyards can you up my allocation? ;) — 8 years ago
A Christmas wine worth remembering, beautiful complexity and fullness, still youthful but much more integrated now. Near flawless. Love #saxumvineyards. — 8 years ago
Enjoyed a 12-hour pit roasted pig BBQ with friends and #SaxumVineyards#SaxumVineyards#SaxumVineyards was the star. The 2009 #Saxum Broken Stones #Syrah blend was fantastic! Open at least 6 hours prior to tasting to soften. This dark beauty is juicy, deep and weighty. Wonderful minerality, earthiness with spice, blackberry and licorice. Super intense but oh so worth the wait! — 10 years ago

Started with light scents of lilac. As the wine warmed up (it’s damn cold here), a nose of bright cherry cola developed. The mid-palate has evolved into red fruit, vanilla and softened tannins. Very velvety and plush-what my friend would call “slutty”. Awesome match for a big porterhouse. #saxumvineyards — 4 years ago
