I had never tried a wine from Idaho so, from a purely academic standpoint, I was pretty excited to try this. The wine poured a deep garnet color with an opaque core. On the nose, sweet red and black fruits with baking spice and a touch of bell pepper. On the palate, this wine was quite round, again with the red and dark fruits, baking spices, some dark chocolate and leather. Very plush texture. Medium tannins and medium to lowish acid. While I prefer wines with more structure, this is a very pleasant wine and certainly a crowd pleaser. Definitely something I would look forward to trying again sometime.
