Mar 23rd, 2019Slow-ox’d for about 90 minutes. Drank alongside the 2015. The 2016 is more dark fruit dominant with a pleasant streak of black pepper, baking spices and vanilla. A lovely spine of acid and tannin. Both vintages are young but this is textbook Rafanelli and should age gracefully.

May 10th, 2018This was good, did not show any age but believe it lost something being 8 years old. A lot going on at dinner so no notes but think I have to start drinking up my stash of older Zins.
