This is what we’re braising the short ribs in, so I had to try it first. For a dirt cheap red ($6.99), it’s pretty damn good. Nose has lots of bright, clean purple fruit. Little bit of spice. In the mouth, it’s got a nice balance of medium alcohol, clean fruit, decent acids, and just a wee bit of soft tannin. This is a great case purchase for an informal cookout or party.
