Dark red kind of thick on the swirl; dark cherries, green spices, red-floral notes, and a dry alkalic minerality on the nose; dry and medium-bodied on the palate, weak midpalate but acid- and fruit-driven punch in the finish. Taste reminds me of a Morgon gamay mixed with a dash of cab-shiraz from down under. Interesting and high value wine paired with Thunderstorm and Delice de Bourgogne cheeses.

Plum, black cherry, stems, balsamic vinegar, baked clay. Chalky, dusty mouthfeel with similar fruit notes to the nose present. Bright acidity and med dusty tannins with some VA notes.
Rustic, honest, balanced wine. The VA may throw some people, but I don't mind too much.
