Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
This is the 2020 Allan Scott Family Winemakers Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
On the nose there is grapefruit, lime, white peach, melon, nectarines, guava and white flowers.
On the palatewe have lime, grapefruit, peach, fresh cut grass, herbaceous notes and minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity and leaves you with a long citrus finish. Allan Scott always seems to deliver and the QPR is outstanding. Have a great weekend and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

What that means to me is if you buy a bottle for $15 - $25 you almost always are going to get something that a) tastes like you expect it to and b) is delicious (assuming you like the way that NZ Savvy tastes). This here bottle is no exception to that rule with its passionfruit, green apple, and cut grass aromas and more of the same delicious green fruit flavors on the palate. The finish is all kiwi fruit and green apple and the acidity bright and mouthwatering. This was a press sample.

Jun 19th, 2024Pale yellow color. Fresh aromas and flavors of tropical fruits, lime, melon and grapefruit. Hints of ginger and fresh herbs. Refreshing and thirst quenching but a touch light bodied and watery. Could be a bit more expressive.

Sep 19th, 20222020 vintage served with barbecued chicken, pasta salad and beets. Notes of tropical fruits and citrus. Crisp and cool for a summer meal on the deck. The price is very reasonable, too!
