Alpha Estate
Turtles Vineyard Malagouzia
interesting slate undertones to ripe white stone fruit on the nose. hints of fresh herbs too. Light weight but with some viscosity, long on the finish. Nice

Jul 15th, 2017This Alpha Estate white is made from 100% Malagousia, a variety that was thought to be extinct until it was rescued in 1983. I'm glad it's rebounding, for the variety possesses both merit and charm, with pretty aromas of flowers, white peaches, candied lemon peel and wet stone. Refreshing and lively.

Jul 12th, 2016Reminds me a little of an acidic Viognier. Lots of beautiful stone fruits, but great acidity to keep it light and crisp. Great food and conversation wine!
