Napa Valley Chardonnay

Pumpkin, almonds, fermented butter. Reminds me of the grigich chard. Not my style. Steep price, too.

Really good usage of oak on this Chardonnay, so much so that I don't mind the buttered toast notes I get on the palate. I get that and a lot of baked red apple, clove and a touch of cinnamon. I enjoy this quite a bit.

I opened this wine and poured into a white burgundy glass. I took a sip and immediately poured into a red burgundy glass and let it warm up and sit for 45 minutes. I think it's so much better than the 09 and 10. The acidity surrounds the wine so nicely. Yes... it's got classic AO butterscotch/vanilla extract/toasted notes. It's so much more grounded than previous vintages. It's not the most complex wine. I knew that when I purchased it. A somewhat guilty pleasure. The 12 is the best so far.

2012. Still hints of all the flavors I love from this Chard. Just can’t let it sit around for too long or profile changes.

Gorgeous and buttery. Nose was full of pears and summer. Perfect with lunch in the sun.

Had it with Mac & Cheese with Stewed Tomatoes

At DLM. Delicate Aroma of lemon grass. Initial taste of mild bite of minerals with a soft soft lemongrass taste. Finished clean.

One of the best I've had

Best Chardonnay I've had. Very full taste, a touch of vanilla, and a toasted marshmallow finish. Not too oak-ey.
