2023 impressions and upgraded rating - this must have been shut down in 2019. It is now approachable and a decent representation of Barolo. Nose is now dense dark fruit and spice. Palate is dark cherry leather and mineral (graphite). Medium density. Tannins are still prominent and probably could use a few more years in the cellar - but drinkable today. I’d say moderate complexity now but not a first bottle of the evening wine. 2019 impressions - Tight out of the bottle and not much improvement with decanting. High in tannins with little complexity for a Barolo.
