Really great. Needs about 30-45 minutes to open up. — 8 years ago

If you love bold tannins from start to finish this is it! Mild floral and undergrowth nose. Subtle cherry, dry flowers and woody earth on the palate. Long finish. Not much change after 4.5 hours. May need to decant longer to open up more. — 4 years ago
2011 vintage. Enjoyable Italian red. Dry, drinks well on 2nd day. — 10 years ago
2023 impressions and upgraded rating - this must have been shut down in 2019. It is now approachable and a decent representation of Barolo. Nose is now dense dark fruit and spice. Palate is dark cherry leather and mineral (graphite). Medium density. Tannins are still prominent and probably could use a few more years in the cellar - but drinkable today. I’d say moderate complexity now but not a first bottle of the evening wine. 2019 impressions - Tight out of the bottle and not much improvement with decanting. High in tannins with little complexity for a Barolo. — 5 years ago

Drank with NYE dinner with in-laws. Ate oven roasted bone-in pork chops and sweet potatoes. Very good red berry fruit and light earthy flavors. Good pairing with food. Nice medium-length, light finish. — a month ago
