Jan 21st, 2018Closed nose, typical of old world juice. On the palette, consistent old world notes of herbs, tobacco, cherries, along with a dry, but sweet finish. Nice weight and mouthfeel. Easily another 10 years of runway in the bottle.

Oct 28th, 2016Lots of vanillin, butterscotch and oak on the nose, intermixed with bright cherries. On the palette, a small oak monster comes out to play. More vanillin with cinnamon, nutmeg and sweet caramel. Tannins are close to being fully resolved. Acid structure is perfect. We are guessing that this wine is perched on a plateau. Drink up over the next 12 - 24 months. Overall, enjoyable.

On 9/23-24/18, I had my fourth and final bottle of this terrific full bodied wine. There were tastes of current, plum and blackberry. The tannins were all smoothed out. A long finish. Patience is rewarded.

Sep 24th, 2018We had the 2007 Vintage on 9/11-12/17. Great tastes of blackberry, current and even some graphite and chocolate. Smooth finish to this medium bodied wine. The tannins were smoothed out.
