This delicious Italian wine from Umbria (a gorgeous region) goes surprisingly well with fried chicken and biscuits! It opens up after a little bit and warms up nicely :)

Good montefalco for the price. But more Sangiovese. Lots of tannins, big berry flavors, maybe too much alcohol esp on the nose.

Robust and well balanced. Excellent choice recommended by our sommelier in Assisi to span grilled steak and pasta in meat sauce.
