Sharply-etched black fruit and rustic tannins give this wine a beefy feeling. Not as generous as the Oliver Ranch bottling, it still has great depth and presence. Cassis, black cherry, leather, cedar and a bit of anise in the background.

Gorgeous. Big, very big. Soft. Velvet. Tobacco leaves, leather, licorice, dark fruit. Beautiful velvet finish.

Pours dark dark dark ruby.
Still smells young - would give this 5-10 more years. I smell cocoa, stewed black plums, cedar, eucalyptus?
Strong acid for a cab, medium tannins, chewy, a little gritty.
