Terre Siciliane Il Frappato

Light bodied, red fruited, a little grapey in a pleasant way. Has the characteristic Occhipinti length and touch of black olive. Nice easy sipper.

Reductive and not showing. Never opened up. Will try another soon

Bright and fresh with medium body. Floral notes on the nose with some earthiness on the palate. This wine is light on its feet and a good food wine.

I love the general theme of the wine (light, juicy, and long) but this had a reductive quality that took away from its performance tonight
