Arnot-Roberts
Trout Gulch Vineyard Chardonnay
Great wine, made ever greater by the extra couple years of cellaring!

Aug 30th, 2016A very restrained nose and palate with medium intensity. The acidity was quite vibrant and strong with just-ripened #chardonnay fruit and a butteriness to the medium length finish. A nicely balanced wine. #arnotroberts #chardonnay #santacruzmontains #california #ctbucklinwine

Jul 22nd, 2016Lovely. As it warmed and had some air it shifted from mineral to lemon as the dominant note. The mix of the two as it opens is delicious and the acidity is mouthwatering.

Sep 25th, 2017A lot of fruit for AR. Great acidity and that trademark saline burst. Nicely evolved.

May 11th, 2023Very nice. Lots of lemon - paired well with sautéed crab claws.

Oct 4th, 2019Golden hay colored. Rich aromas of red apple, clementine, pear, popcorn kernels, honey, jasmine and lemon merengue. Powerful and especially noticeable lingering acidity. Apple, lemon pie, orange spice, and oak on the palette. Nice components but unharmonious. Likely an off-year with unusually high acidity due to climate.
