Drinking exceptional. Mark’s Chardonnay with a bit of time in a bottle are a absolute treat. Highly recommended.

Improved over previous tasting 3 years ago.
Double decant and pour. A light cloudy gold color. On the nose: mellow notes of Lemon, tangerine, banana, nutmeg, grapefruit. Taste: A chalky-creamy, rich mouthfeel wine with pear, lemon rind, little stone fruit, white pepper, oak, and a tropical minerally wet stone medium plus finish.

Double decant (some cloudy/chunky sediment). A memorable golden straw color. On the nose: subtle nose of sliced apple, grapefruit, tangerine, minerals, some floral. Taste: a chalky-creamy, medium plus body wine with pear, lots of minerals, spiced stone fruit, lemon rind, crushed stones, and a dry slightly astringent medium finish. 1st time trying the Eastside....OK/Good, but was expecting more.....

Nose of honeydew and cucumbers. Velvety on the palate. Perfect wine crabcakes.

A pop and pour. Certainly a chard that benefits from warming up a bit. All the beautiful tropical and tree fruits I’ve come to expect were there, and the minerality and creaminess perfectly balanced it out.

Where to start? Lady in the picture says its the best wine she’s ever had and that I need to buy more - I could end there I suppose 😁! Over 2 hours it kept improving so give it time to breathe. Like other Aubert chardonnays it has a complex warmth that is delightful, at various times you get butter, cream, honey, oak, pear, lemon, butterscotch. It starts with a hint of sweetness but ends crisp but not sharp. Perfection. Side note - surprisingly large amount of tartaric acid crystals in the bottle.

I wasn’t too sure about this one at first - it showed a hard, oaky edge on the palate. Then after about two hours, it transformed into a beautiful, balanced Chardonnay with lovely lemon cream and brioche notes and a pillowy-soft texture. Really a remarkable transformation, and I highly recommend a significant decant if you open one now. I think it is also better served slightly above cellar temperature.
