Medium pale golden yellow. Rich and layered nose coated with pineapple, toasted, baked apples, lemon curd and a little nutty. Full bodied with well balanced acidity (6/10). Lush and lively palate with crisp lemon zest, some spices, brioche and a little tropical. Long finish with weight and life in it. Lovely wine and cannot wait to try more! Drink till 2024.

This is the Aubert chard at the lower end of the food chain, but it leaves no clues in that regard. It’s multi-dimensional, and each dimension is well crafted. Notes of apple crumble and lemon curd swirl in the glass. This has a medium to full body mouthfeel, with a plush texture. Sweet mid-palate, but finishes with a hint of salinity. Very cool.

Nice example of Sonoma chard. Not as nuanced as the single vineyard examples, but still superb. Butterscotch, hazelnut and brioche notes are displayed on the palate. Good weight and mouthfeel. Really nice entry-level Aubert.

Doesn’t have the same amount of signature lemon cream I always get with Aubert Chardonnay, but this is still high quality Chardonnay. The oak and vanilla is easy to detect, but the amount of citrus and acidity keep it from being one dimensional. Really nice once it warmed up in the glass to show more honeycomb and honeysuckle. The ABV (15%) was fairly pronounced. I still enjoy this over their Carneros Chardonnay, but when push comes to shove, spend the extra $25-30 and get the single vineyard options.

So approachable and a great way to start the week. I prefer the Carneros out of the AVA designations.

Consumed over 2 days. Second day was very creamy and tasted of lemon confit and tropical fruits.

Pale yellow color with a slight haze and green hue, aromatic fragrant woody nose, buttery oak taste with a tinge of citrus, very smooth but honestly as much as I like Aubert chardonnays this was a bit lacking, not bad but not impressive. Surprising amount of tartaric acid crystals in bottle.

Decided to give this one a shot after the exchange yesterday. Started off a bit oakier than I like, but once that blew off this was pleasant enough. I have a couple others I might wait on to see if the oak integrates and gains complexity.
