Very recent bottling, not showing as well as the outstanding 2016. First impression was much more of a Chénas. Floral aromas of damp rose petal are very dominant with faint red fruit and spice character, but very muted overall without a significant mid palate presence. Bright acidity and freshness are nonetheless very appealing and I suspect it will open up with time as this is clearly a fine producer working with several terrific growers. Still a fine value, and I’d like to check in on it after a few more months in bottle.

Solid #PinotNoir #wine. Bright red and clear in color, it has some vegital components at opening. In time, lots of maraschino cherry, some leafy, Smokey under tones, but not prominent. Medium body, round, smooth. Crowd pleasing. Opened 11/24/17

Fruit forward Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Shiny ruby red color. Aromas and flavors of fresh strawberries and raspberries. Hints of plum, cola and boysenberry. A slight touch of baking spices and fresh herbs. A bit of sweetness on the finish. Bright and lively. Should be drunk young.

Willamette Valley, classy wine. Excellent Pinot for the price with medium-full body, bright deep cherry color, smooth palate, fine balance, notable fruit flavor and bouquet. Drink again.
