Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico Frappato Nero d'Avola
Hard to beat this producer in anything... seriously one of the best Nero d'Avola you can get.

Feb 24th, 2019If this wine could sing it would fill the air with a brooding, heavy, bass-driven melody with a tenor backing that sneaks in and takes over to finish. Heavy at first, leathery and dark forest, it gradually opens into a more bright and fruit forward drink with red cherry and rich exotic spices. Much more poetic than this description.

May 11th, 2018Too funky. In my opinion this was a better wine 5 years ago. The funky animality “natural” thing is now overpowering the wine itself. Might be more COS than older vintages, but less my thing.
