Clear and fresh. A bit underwhelming. Just ok. Made in amphora.

Bright ruby red in color. A fierce attack on the palate of acid and tannin. A wash in sour red fruits, this is a great counter point to food and only gets better with it. Aged in clay terracotta amphora, this is extreme on the unique scale, yet very much a well made wine. A 40/60 blend of Frappato and Nero d'Avola.

Nice dusty Nero and Frappato. Med bodied so goes with just about everything. A slightly bitter undertone which is endearing.

Essentially the Cerasuolo but aged in clay pots underground. Pretty intense difference between the two. This is way soft and suple on the nose, but has some hilighted bitterness on the finish... I think that this should probably be decanted for some amount of time.

An interesting pairing with sea bass. Sour cherries and translucent, tastes like a cool weather wine.

2013 Cos 'Pithos Rosso' #Sicily #Italianwine. Blend of Nero d'Avola & Frappato and fermented/aged in terra-cotta amphorae. Lively with notes of violet, tart red cherry, pomegranate and dried herbs. Bracing and fresh acidity. This is the wine I want with charcuterie and pizza. #wine #sommelier #sommlife #wineporn #winepimping
